Mr. Lobenberg with Mr. Potter
I have just become a member of the California Watercolor Association (the largest watercolor organization in California) and the Gallery Concord, a very limited membership co-op watercolor gallery made up of CWA artists and voted into membership. We just put together our Fall show and had a reception this last Friday. On the following day, I took my first turn with the president of Gallery Concord to gallery sit. The gallery is open to the public on Thursday through Sunday. While the prez was showing me the ropes, in comes one helluva master water color artist to pick up one of his paintings. His name is Ken Potter, and he is a Master Signature member of CWA. I've known him and has admired his work for many years. Quite frankly, he is waaaay under rated! Check him out on californiawatercolor.com. Here is a photo of me and Mr. Potter as well as a photo of one of my portraits in the Gallery Concord Fall show.

Brilliant composition. Multicolours are giving a dramatic effect.
Mr. Lobenberg,
I do love how you paint. That portrait is outstanding. I sat staring at it transfixed. Wow!
A fan in T.O.
Barbara
I love this portrait. Very striking!
You old self-deprecating sly dog! In the opinion of another old (sea)dog, this accolade of membership is long overdue. And the portrait is...it's...Gee-e-z, I need more superlatives, that's all there is to it! I love it--how's that? Well Done, David!
Sincerely,
Gary.
D.D., Yes, I love as many colors as I can get away with in my portraits.
Travelingsuep, Thanks!
Thanks, Navy vet.! Yes, I'm happy about Gallery Concord...about time I make some noise.
Barbara, Wow back!...I'm so glad you like this one. Thanks.
Prabha, Yes, Ken has painted the Golden Gate Bridge many a time, and always does a terrific job!
This portrait is exactly why I recommended you to my friend for her wedding gift.
It's so full of spirit and life and personality.
Pure joy!
Thanks, comrade Bonnie, for your kind words and the portrait recommendation! Portrait workers of the world, unite!
Thrilling as usual, David.
That's one helluva portrait,David, just fantastic. Full of life and energy! Nice to see a photo of Ken, sorry I missed him the other night.
