Lake Washington
Before the Port of Sacramento was established, the scene you see here was a small, narrow lake called Lake Washington. Now its the ports turning basin, hence the tugs. 8"x16" acrylic on stretched canvas.

That's a scene after my own heart. Very nice. I like the high horizon too.
You mentioned, on my blog, Sacramento being a port 90 miles inland from the sea. Portland is similarly an inland port on the Columbia River.
Thanks Bill. I'm going to my Atlas (I'm old. When I say I'm going to my atlas, I go to my bookshelf and not google!) to check out Portland's location.
Daved, Don't fear The Google
Bill: I don't. In fact Google is a mainstay in all of our lives, but I still like hefting books as well.
