3 more from my net

My first crab water color painting "pinched" me, so I said a few nasty words and tore that sucker up. My first turtle was just OK, but it got the boot, This is my first star fish, and I like it as well as this second crab and second turtle. Hey, that's the fun of water color painting...you screw up and your painting becomes "toast"! Gives you a renewed respect for the challenge of water coloring. No pain, no gain!

All three are wonderful, despite the pitfalls of getting them on the paper.

Thank you Carol and Autumn. Have to throw my net into the water again. We'll see what the next catch is.

Hi David,

I'm heading to the east coast soon, and hope to see the blue starfish common to the beach we walk on. Your painting reminded me of that. I better start packing. Super work all of it. You're right about the freedom of the toss out. It is liberating. Great paintings.

Your best fan in Toronto,

Barbara

Wonderful! You make the little critters look effortless (of course they aren't.) My favorite is the Starfish, those spiny dots tell the story.

Have fun on your far east sojourn, Barbara. I truly hope that you see a blue starfish!
