The third one because it feels safer, comfortable, not alone.

I like the 2nd & 3rd renditions best. Haven't decided b between those 2, however. I think I respond better to the red & blue for skin tones that the blue/greens.

Well there is a lot to like about all, and I really like that ultramarine color in the top but the sharp angle just in front of the figure bothers me. I love the rich darks in the second and third and think the third ha the best background shapes and it looks more finished to me. Of course, you may get a dozen different opinions after mine.

The last one, although I like the colors/contrast of the second one. Honestly though, the angle of the face doesn't portray the features of his face as much, and doesn't grab my attention like your other work has. Just my $0.02.

Betty- Thanks for your opinion. I think that I like the red/blue skin tones as well.

Rhonda - I'm liking the third better but I just may have to do more studies and post them soon. Always value your opinion!

Denise - Thanks for your opinion. I am testing a minimalist approach with facial features with these profile angles. We will see how far I go with this.Who knows?

It is fabulous work, David. I think my favorite is the top posted piece. The darkness of the palette works beautifully with the pose and sense of his angst. The second has too much contrast of white in the side of the head for my taste. I do like the third as well but must stick with the top for the reasons stated.

Thanks, Crimson. I have added some more texture into the hair of my third iteration. I love texture, and the hair is also lighter. Next may come a whole new attempt, but I would like to get your opinion on my textured hair. I sure do want to thank everyone for your two cents!!!
