Observations and thoughts about the fine art of painting

This is the last painting of a road curving to the right . . . I promise you!
11"X14" watercolor on 140lb. cold press. This is a demo painting I did during my Tuesday watercolor class at my studio. I have eight very enthusiastic students.
Why this is an S-curved road! (And no one will buy a road curving to the left). Anyway, love the light airy feeling of the trees! Man, you do well with that masking - I find myself wanting to dig in - all that white has quite a wonderful effect.
Hi Dan! Gotta save whites and on occasion, that liquid masking stuff comes in handy. Thank you for setting me straight (pun intended) about the road's S-curve.

Arti, My students love coming to my studio on Tuesdays, and they really dig in.
Really impressive how colorful this is and yet has lots of white ;)
Remember, Meera, white is a great foil to any of the other darker values
