Not only is this yet another damn bridge but it shows you how the pros paint! I don't need no stinkin easel!

Sigh...exquisite, David! While not much of a romantic myself, there is something truly romantic about this piece to me. Maybe it is the foliage...I love it! (And thanks for that "latent structural engineer" comment. One of the nicest things anyone ever said to me. Maybe I missed my calling???? LOL)

ACH!! It is a gorgeous painting. And is that electrical tape? I haven't tried that one. Well a happy "gotte in himmel" to you!

Autumn, I think the romance comes from the light entering from the right side of the painting. I worked from a reference photo of this particular bridge (in the Sacramento delta region) that was captured towards sunset.

Hello, Studio at the Farm, in beautiful B.C. Yep...left over electrical tape. It was handy at the time!

I've been admiring your painted lines along with the composition and those wonderful colors. Of course, the tape added a bit to the painting too. :D

What that is is yet another FANTASTIC bridge. The water it amazing and the whole scene glows. The composition is terrific! The purple wall balance with the blue foreground. I love it all.

Thanks, devotedmomof 7. Composition, values, and colors go together like a horse and carriage...or something like that. I'm more better with painting than words!
