This is an acrylic on stretched canvas (about 16"X36"). It's 95 degrees outside as I write this so I thought I'd cool off. If it's hot where you are, enjoy. The water coming down and around the granite boulders was textured with Golden moulding paste.

Oh what a great idea using the molding paste for the water! Thanks for the tip! :)
I like the idea of this size...what a neat composition and I like how you added the figure...is that you? LOL
Beautiful colors.
I'm cooler already, just looking at the feet in the water! I like the variety of brushwork and palette knife--also the long, narrow canvas gives great interest.
The format really gives a feel for what is happening in the scene. Lovely colors in the rocks. A great mountain painting!
Thereya go, Amber!
Kathy, No that's not me. If it was, it would be too difficult for me to capture in acrylic the glaring reflection off my bald head.
Liz: This is my "I wish I was sitting where that guy is sitting" painting.
Thank you Carol. I struggle with color, but this one came out OK.
A winner, Dave!
Gracie, Mike.
Great painting composition and colors, love the size for capturing the water running...
Thank you Delorse (HeartFire). I was just goin with the flow when I picked out that canvas to paint on.
Hi David,
Fabulous work. Wonderful energy and composition.
Take care,
Barbara
Thank you, Barbara. Vertical alpine formats are the bomb! Now that I'm writing like this, I'm goin out to get me some tattoos!
Cool piece David!.....love the tall vertical, and the way the eye rolls down the image.
Thanks, Jared!
