Ok, David, I'm gonna have to use that overworked word "awesome" for the watercolors you posted tonight. Each one is glorious. In the one above, did you throw that red paint in over the green? Or did you save areas in advance, though it looks too "impulsive" for that.

Thanks,
Nanina

Hi David,

I'm a bit behind, and I love these landscapes. Gorgeous. I hope you're having a great summer -- but hey isn't it summer there all the time.

Ciao,

Barbara

Thank you so much, Garden G. Yes, the red was impulsive . . . but . . . it is an old technique that I sometimes use to spice up my work.

Glad you like these. They are part of a SERIES. I'm having a very nice and very busy summer. Why is the summer whizzing by?!! That's the only part of this summer that I frown upon . . . the whizzing. Is it always winter in far away Toronto?

I am really loving your road series, David.

Arti, I think for us humans, most paths are inviting. Where do they go and what's at the other ends. What sort of adventures await us while traveling down them.

Thanks, Studio. That's encouraging feedback.

Your comment on summer is funny David as it's hotter here than it's ever been. We are experiencing a drought -- high heat and no rain. But usually the warmth starts going in August. We don't know, as it only snowed 4 times last winter. Not good for the trees. No water from snow, no water in April when it usually rains all month, and very little rain this summer. What do you know global warming is real!

Ciao,

Barbara

We had about a three day hot,hot spell here (very typical for our summers)and now super cool air is coming in from the ocean. We call it our natural air conditioning, but boy is it COOL! World weather is dependent on how the jet stream oscillates about the world from west to east. Next year Toronto could have a super rainy, cool summer, but yes, the general trend is global warming.
