Two water colors just completed

A little Americana . . .  outdoors and indoors. The coffee/donut combo represents a lot of fat and calories but we sagacious Americans, counteract this sad state of affairs with a sugar substitute!

Very nice both inside and out--though I prefer inside with a doughnut till it gets a bit warmer around here. Pastries are one of my favorite subjects. The doughnut wins.

Beautiful barn..different from your regular subjects, but I like it very much! Breakfast is delicious as ever:)

Arti, I glad you like my barn. I will be doing this scene again in a class I teach tomorrow, and I am also painting another study of the coffee/donut still life. I'll soon post those two for comparison to the previous two. I love seeing the variations in studies, and I wouldn't mind getting your take on them! Is that wonderful Indian holiday where everyone gets covered in colored powder coming up soon? I like that holiday!

Beautiful paintings! I love that you refer to them as "Outside and Inside!" I imagine you were enjoying the coffee and donut and proceeded doing a watercolor sketch of them! Multitasking!

Kathleen, Glad you like my inside/outside h2o's. Actually my fav. donut are maple bars. Should have put one in this painting!
