I can paint swans too!

I do NOT want to be type cast as a killer chicken artist! I also paint other birds. Here is a watercolor from the archive.

There are great things in your archives! I love the water color, unusual, contrasting with the purity of the swan.

ha ha

Love the colours you have used for the water in this, reminds me of the murky ponds in England.

Absolutely exquisite, David. I so love the pinks, blues, and do I see a bit of green in the feathers? Truly beautiful!

It's beautiful.....David. I was on the road to being the "turkey lady" and quickly put an end to that. Haven't painted a turkey in ages although I still photograph them; guess I'm hooked.

Had to pop over and see what this post was all about since I sincerely believe you can paint anything - with or without wings!

Sue, murky ponds are good!

Autumn, yep...a soft and subtle green in the feathers especially on the neck. Wherever one looks in life, one can see a plethora of reflected colors.

Mimi, I love playing darks against lights. Values do all the work but colors get all the credit!

Thanks Jane and Bill. There's more to life than chickens.

I wish I had this painting to pull out of my archives! WOW! That's beautiful. The colors are fantastic and the swan is perfect. I love the way you've represented the white with beautiful colors to form the swan. INCREDIBLE!
