The evolution of "Tommy"

This portrait of Tommy was started with a flat, four inch watercolor brush, painted in wet-on-wet on 140 lb. Arches cold press watercolor paper. After that, the painting was brought to completion wet-on-wet as well as wet-on-dry with a #20 round watercolor brush. Painting time about one hour.
