A Grape View! (and your input)

Go ahead...tell me this ain't a grape view. I know a grape view when I see it! Glad we got that settled. NOW HERE'S A QUESTION FOR MY BLOG READERS AND FOLLOWERS: I've got all sorts of small acrylic and water color paintings here at Studio L. What are they doing?... just loitering and taking up space are what they are doing! I need to find them some good walls where they can bring people happiness! My plan is to put them up for sale on this blog every week. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Hi David -
"Everybody's doin' it" - you absolutely should too. I recall Carole Marine's husband has some neat way to keep it manageable - otherwise it could be a time sink!
Keep painting the good paintings! Dana

Hi David,

Great idea. Though I don't have any of the on-line buying stuff accounts, I may be forced to get one, just to snag a couple of your slumbering masterpieces. Your "A Grape View" is so good my mouth is watering. Bravo!

Ulrike, wish me luck and wave me goodbye!

Gary, I'll set up the purchasing mechanism so that any sailor can buy a Lobenberg with the greatest of ease.

David,

There's an old nautical saying for that; It's called making something, "Sailor-proof". A few bottles of San Miguel used to limber-up my wallet pretty well, too!

A grape view indeed! If'n I had the $, I'd be a fast customer, David. Alas, we are jobless currently so I'd have to hold off for now. But one o' these days!

I think even in this economy, your work will sell. Go for it and see what happens - and good luck!

Hi David,

I haven't had a chance to comment on all of your wonderful grape paintings, but they are just amazing.

And I think if you put your paintings on your blog once a week that would be ...grape. I mean great.

I like the idea of a separate blog for selling. I'm thinking of that myself. Liza Hirst does it, and it seems to work well because you can
see the work, on the blog, and again on the selling blog.

Have a great time with it all. I know you will. Your work is beyond fantastic!

Take care,

Barbara

Well, I love your studio sale in December, but it wouldn't hurt to spread the cost out over the year, AND I could get my Christmas shopping done early. So go for it!

David Lobenberg said...

As soon as I post my first art piece for sale, I'll mail you a six pack of San Miguel!

Thank you, Susan.

Autumn, Jobless? Sign of the times for sure. I don't need your money, just your readership and kind comments.

Thanks, Rhonda for your encouraging comment!

David Lobenberg said...

Barbara, Thank you as always for your grape comments! I'll check out Liza Hirst.

Thanks for the glowing comment, Prahba!

Early Christmas shopping is less stressful, Jan.

Hi David,

I risk overdoing it, but I should have
signed my name:

David--All of your grape paintings have a fantastic "sunshine reflection" look to them. The grapes look so real. Great work.

Do it. Bloggers sell from their blogs. Try adding the paypal buy now button. I think it's a bear to figure out but a friend who has it says it works well. People buy ;) Good luck and I like your work very much.

Go for it. Small businesses need to work the web as well. By the way, caught one of your paintings of the bridge at Sac and AM River. for sale in an ad in the Southwest or Art collector .

Yummy and I like the ones with and without seeds. it's the combined crunchy, nutty with the reallly sweet. and I could eat these right off the vine.
