Some of my new paintings at one of Northern California's best art galleries.

These are some of my new paintings up at the Elliot Fouts Gallery here in Sacramento. I am now painting like mad for a two man show at the gallery in February.

Awesome! Love that one of the Capitol Park Hotel! Is the gallery open to the public?

Howdy, Amber. Yes! The gallery is open to one and all unless your last name is Massey. Sorry.

Hi David. Loved the paintings. Some of them have been posted before I guess. Something in the elks building painting is troubling me a bit though. The building looks as if its leaning. Should the vertical perspective lines not be straight??

Thanks Lauren. I like the cup cake sketch you posted.

Prabal, Thanks for visiting my blog. I'll play with what is called proper perspective for the sake of drama.

Thanks David. After your answer it looks like a good idea. I'll also try that next time in some painting.

We all learn from each other, Prabal. Maybe next time, you will teach me something.

Looking forward to seeing the portrait challenge up soon...as I sent mine in eons ago. I check today and it sounds like maybe you didn't get so many this time? Boo hoo. No I don't know how to turn on the language thing. I am commenting here because it sounds like you don't go to that blog too much.
The acrylic is wonderful. Can't wait to see it done.

David Lobenberg said...

Thanks, Milind. Yes, I will post them.

Hi, Ginny. Yes, I'm are getting a lot of SP's at the very last minute, so I have extended the deadline into this week. I wasn't aware that I was getting comments on the SPGLI blog because I did not turn on the email comment notification. Now that I have it on, I will respond to comments.

I've just come across your blog and I am very excited to see more of your work. The Lover's Leap commission really caught my eye- I like how the tree line dips down as the mountain is peaking. I'll check back to see the finishing touches...

I also enjoyed looking at your Self Portrait Love-In blog. How great is that? Maybe someday when I break away from landscapes I'll get the courage to try it!

Kind regards,
Nicki
