Portrait of the late great French oceanographer, Jacque Cousteau

This was a watercolor commission I painted on a half sheet of Fabriano, 140lb. cold press paper. I'm not sure how useful this painting sequence is for anyone, but here it is. Painted with a pure sable Escoda brush.

  2. Hi Rock Star,
Great portrait, David, and yes, it does inform and help us learn a lot about drawing and color. Thanks for sharing, which you do a lot of and are very good at it.
I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing the interview.
Congratulations to you and praise to your local PBS station for having the good sense to put you on TV.
    Sincerely,
    Gary.
