"Finished not Finnish" still a work in progress

I posted the beginning of this painting two posts ago. Here it is with some changes and more to come. What do you think dear readers?

  1. I really like the additions to this since April 10. I like the softening of some edges and the new space relationships created. Set it aside and think about it awhile.

  2. I like all the new additions to the painting except for the drawing/portrait at the bottom left. Not sure it does anything for the total. The other elements work to add mystery, make me ask questions, look longer, so I think they all work very well. But this is just one person's opinion!

    1. Rhonda, You met my dynamo friend Mryna. I trust she showed a plethora of neat art techniques nd kept you very busy! I Agee with you about the lone face but remember there is more work to be done on this portrait . . . Hopefully it will all come together!

    1. Thanks, Gary. I'm trying my damnedest to get a new portrait style going. It most likely is going to take awhile, but it sure is a lovely and invigorating challenge!
