Watercolors from my mind

Three I painted a few days ago to limber up and to enjoy landscapes from my mind to palette and brush to paper. All are painted 140lb. cold press watercolor paper with a #20 round sable brush.

  1. I like those, they're beautiful. There is a harmony of color and a balance of shapes that really do almost say "landscape" and yet are abstract. (Sigh) when I do that I get mud.Time to take more classes!

  2. Beautiful mix of colors, values and shapes --I think you can call them 'mindscapes' :)

Also, thanks much for the w-i p photos in the last two posts --I love seeing how the final painting shapes up! Really like them both.

  5. Dianne, The harmony of color on these is because I kept my choice of colors limited. I think that also reduces the mud factor.
