Playing Fast @ Loose
Three water colors of some bad boy bikers I did awhile back. They were each painted with FAST and LOOSE
brush work, just the way i like it. Born to be free!! PS: motorcycles scare the crap out of me as far as riding them... ain't NO WAY!
These are absolutely fabulous and one super great series, David. My girls dad died on a motorcycle in a state with helmet laws. No such helmet laws here in this state. They are super fun to ride on, but the dangerous factor rose to new heights for me after their dad died. Made my husband sell his motorcycle after that. Our motorcycle riding days are over.
Fast, loose and fabulous is what these are. Love the Japanese-y feel to the wash and attention to what you left out as much as what you included. Your diversity amazes me all the time.
Autumn, Glad to hear you are both off the bikes. And no helmet law in your state? Wow. I'd love to continue with this series, but they seem not to have any couch appeal, and bikers put all their bread into their bikes.
Good paintings. Good to stay off of motorcycles. I've been with two friends in hospitals as their legs were amputated. Hard for them to say the fun of riding was worth it.
You should do a biker bar series. I bet you would feel totally comfortable in a biker bar with all the ornately tattooed gentlemen appreciating your art.
I'm not into appendage amputation Onpainting (Bill). A geezer motor cycle bar, no problemo, but an outlaw motor cycle bar?...I'm a 5'7" art wuss...no way, Jose.
