There is a Canadian artist in BC by the name of Clive Powsey that does a brilliant job water coloring scenes like this. He's on my blog roll.

California Notrh Coastal Beach

ReplyDeleteGreetings in far off India, Arti. I love Indian cuisine! This part of the California coast is indeed tranquil and overcast much of the year. My family loves to visit the coastal areas and escape the high summer temperatures in Sacramento. The flowers and bushes were painted very quickly and spontaneously. If it isn't done that way, they wouldn't look natural. I always try to capture the character of whatever I am painting instead of trying to copy. Your fellow countryman, Milind Mulick is great at doing this.

Mike, Hi my friend! My art is going great. I'll have one of my acrylic paintings published in the June issue of South West Art Magazine! As far as my teaching position at Sac. City College, not too good. They have eliminated 17 art classes! Next Fall semester, I teach only one class and go on COBRA health insurance. My one class may cover the insurance payments with nothing left for other expenses. So...time to pump up my workshop activity and painting activity. Maybe this one door closing will open up another better door. Times are tough, but we'll get through it!
