I hope the weather is great for your time there and I look forward to seeing some of your sketches.
I'm still priming myself to tackle a busy street area. I did it last winter in Naples, FL where I jammed myself into a hedge on a street corner and I was sitting. People came by but they didn't talk to me much and when they did it was okay, not pesky. I haven't reached a comfort level yet. But I will.
I really like the painting on your masthead.Mary Sheehan Winnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07739304038978908921noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2851626699837326.post-9075971062137386182008-07-30T06:25:00.000-07:002008-07-30T06:25:00.000-07:00As they say, plein air painting is a spectator spo...As they say, plein air painting is a spectator sport. it won't make it to Beijing but might make it in as an exhibition sport four years from now. have fun in carmel!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2851626699837326.post-48538509370521347172008-07-29T16:11:00.000-07:002008-07-29T16:11:00.000-07:00Oh, yes, no matter where you are from, Carmel soun...Oh, yes, no matter where you are from, Carmel sounds heavenly! I had family in Sacro-tomato(remember that?) for 30 years and understand what you mean. That's why the river, decaying beet plant and West Sacto area bring back memories for me. You capture them quite well. Hope you guys have a great time. If you'd like to throw in your opinion on a portrait submission I'm considering, I've got a direct link. I don't know if you are interested (my timing is late) but I also have a link to the National Portrait Gallery that you and your readers may find interesting:
click here to see the post Melindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16793226305585541931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2851626699837326.post-4925208000807691682008-07-29T08:04:00.000-07:002008-07-29T08:04:00.000-07:00Patchy fog and overcast sounds heavenly to me too!...Patchy fog and overcast sounds heavenly to me too!
